NYC In-Person Practice Day: Buddha Day
Buddha Day is one of the most important holidays to Buddhists. It is a celebration of the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and death. Join us for this opportunity to marvel at the gift the Buddha bestowed upon humanity as we gather in community to commemorate his legacy.
We will celebrate through meditation, reflection, ritual and embodiment exercises.

Ambedkar’s Dharma of Liberation, Equality, Love, and Justice (Residential Retreat)
As a community, we will reflect on Ambedkar’s legacy and what we might integrate from his teachings and example for our times. To support deeper engagement, there is an intention to form affinity groups based on race/caste during the program.
Please note that half of the program spaces have been reserved for BLAIPOC (Black, Latinx, Asian, Indigenous & People of Color) attendees.

The Breath and The Heart: An Exploration of the Anapanasati Sutta (RETREAT)

Triratna Day 2025 — Sangharakshita 100: A Garland of Rejoicings
The Triratna Buddhist Community was founded by Urgyen Sangharakshita and 2025 marks the one hundredth anniversary of his birth. For this special anniversary year our online celebration of Triratna Day will be a rejoicing in his life and qualities. In each of the three sessions we will hear from different Order members about life changing encounters with Sangharakshita and then meditate together as an international spiritual community.

This retreat is open to all sangha members from Aryaloka, Boston, Lubec, Portland, Portsmouth, New York and New Jersey. Born from a desire to bring our east coast sanghas together, the Regional Retreat has been running for 15 years! This is a wonderful opportunity to meet Buddhists from across the region and make new friends.

Kindness Behavior Training (KBT) has been developed as a follow-up course for those who have completed a course in mindfulness (such as MBCT or MBSR). It’s a great way to take further and expand on what has been learned in a previous mindfulness course.
